AFP’s exceptional series of photographs of women fighting Myanmar’s junta on the frontlines has won the Photography category at the prestigious Human Rights Press Awards 2024.
Mahmud Hams, Jeff Pachoud, Sameer al-Doumy, Adrian Dennis and Adem Altan were honoured at the 2024 Istanbul Photo Awards.

AFP Lima-based photographer Ernesto Benavides has won the first place of the Latin America Professional Award at the Sony World Photography Awards 2024 with his series called Captives.

Roman Pilipey has won first place in the prestigious "Photojournalist of the Year, National" category.
Four AFP photographers covering the White House won thirteen awards at The Eyes of History 2024 contest organized by the White House News Photographers Association. The WHNPA recognized the work of those photographers working in Washington covering politics and news; the winners were selected among 4,500 images and 16 categories.
AFP photographers Oli Scarff and Adrian Dennis have been awarded at the BPPA Press Photographer of the Year 2023.
Oli Scarff has been named Photographer of the Year and has won in the Arts & Entertainment category. He also received an honourable mention in the Sport (Away from the Action) category.
